Greetings, evil-doers. Everyone loves a good villain. Sometimes, we love hating on them and their dastardly deeds. There are villains in anime that are just the pure embodiment of evil with few to no redeeming qualities - much like Jujutsu Kaisen's main antagonsit, Sukuna. This demon king is just an all-around menace for no particular reason except that he loves causing pain and chaos. It's fun and refreshing knowing that Itadori could never quell this inner demon with the Power of Friendship like Naruto did with Kurama.

Then, there are villains with tragic backstories, villains that were driven to the brink of depravity due to circumstances outside of their control. We've all heard that Griffith did nothing wrong (he did), but the horrifying things he endured before he became an evil entity of darkness are what make him a compelling character.
